We have a 2010 prius. The 12v system is not designed to withstand the electrical load created when starting a normal car, and in addition, any accidental reversing of leads is going to leave you stranded with a several hundred dollar towing/repair fee. Three weeks ago i had to go and jump start it for my daughter.
In the morning when i try to start it, there doesn't seem to be enough voltage.
Problem is, i can't get it to work with the 2011 prius. Connect the second red positive cable to the positive battery terminal on the assisting vehicle. The owners manual has some good pictures describing battery access. Check out our guide on how to jump a prius.
